Hello and welcome!
I am an network marketer, a husband and a grandfather of 4 from Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk.
In February 2001 I first got involved in the industry of Network Marketing, it was the first business I had owned and the learning curve was steep. Unfortunately the company I was involved with was new to my country and my sponsors were new to the industry. Suffice to say I had to go up 30 levels to find an expert and that expert lived 3500 miles away.
Eventually after about 18 months and a 100 hours on long distance phone calls, 4 international trips and 15 Network Marketing books I got the hang of it. My first attempt at Network Marketing resulted in a team of 5500 people in 12 countries over 4 years and all that before useful internet was available.
I have to say though that much of my success was not due to my skill set, I literally just got told NO many more times than anyone else.
I sponsored 66 people front line in that first company, which means I probably did 200 presentations to personal prospects. I don’t know how many people I asked if they were interested in extra income but I imagine it must of been around 800.
I prospected friends and family first as you would expect, then work colleagues, then people in the local bars, shopkeepers, delivery men, suppliers, club members, business club attendees, tradesmen, tele-canvassers. I saw everyone as a target for potential recruitment, instead of the human being standing in front of me.
I deeply regret much about that period of time and would not still be in the industry today if it were not for the internet.
Social media marketing has been an absolute dream, but unfortunately 95% of people are doing it completely wrong, people are still alienating friends, family and coworkers, only now they are doing it on Social Media.
Posting, messaging and befriending on Social Media for Network Marketing is a waste of time in 97% of cases. You do not know enough people and will not connect with enough people who are among the 3% that would be interested in building a business and not already building another one.
If through shear persistence and dog headedness you manage to do it, you will not be able to duplicate yourself.
The fact is you are going to need to find around 20 people with the right group of qualities, at the right time in their lives to build a six figure income and you are going to have to approach them in a way that they are happy to approach others.
These people represent about 1 in 30 adults, to find 20 good people you are going to have to get around 600 people to look at your business if you use shotgun recruiting techniques and approach everyone.
Far better just to talk to the right people at the right time in the right way, this is what we call your target market.
If you use this technique, just approaching the right people at the right time, you may only need 80 people to look at your presentation to recruit the 20 good ones you are looking for.
Ok, I hear you say, how do I find the right people at the right time and get them to have a look at my business then?
Firstly you have to fish in the right pond…
The very best social network to find good quality people for your business is Linkedin.
Secondly you have to know how to approach them, just adding them as connections and spamming them Facebook style will not work.
Thirdly you are going to have to have something they want.
This is called a lead magnet.
With this combination you can build a huge business in a few months without spamming, pestering or pitching.
